Latex balloons are made from liquid rubber, which originates from the rubber trees that grow in Southeast Asia. They are great for balloon arches and garlands, and are biodegradable, meaning they won’t stay in a landfill forever. The timeframe it takes for these balloons to break down is variable from 4 months to 8 years. Because of their material they don’t last long and the air leak out after a day. Latex oxidize quickly, by airflow and sun exposure and give it Matt looking.
Mylar balloons are metallic and foil-look texture and made from type of nylon and the aluminum foil is added as a thin layer over the mylar. Because of the material used, they come in any type of shapes like cartoon characters, letters & numbers and provide a custom look and feel to your party. Mylar last longer but they are harder on planet they don’t break down in the landfill very well.
